Q4 creative batch for a giftable kids brand

Ten hooks, each labelled with its technique and the reason it could work. Three full scripts with visual direction, spoken lines and an end card. The reasoning behind the three concepts I’d test first. Presented as proposed concepts in an application, separate from the CopyKD campaign results above.

The buyer tension

The buyer wants a gift the child will enjoy, while also considering the parent’s reaction and whether the gift will keep being used.

The creative response

The batch explores different reasons to pay attention: a gift abandoned after five minutes, a wish list that may not tell the whole story, and the different priorities of the child and parent.

How this applies to your brand

The transferable skill is finding the specific desire or objection behind a purchase, then turning it into distinct concepts your team can test.

How I work

Every creative test starts with a reason to buy.

  1. Step 1: Buyer research

Study the offer, customer language, desires, objections, and available evidence to understand what could move someone to act.

  2. Step 2: Distinct angles

Develop concepts around different buyer motivations, so the test explores meaningful differences.

  3. Step 3: Hooks and scripts

Turn each angle into an opening that earns attention and a script that connects the offer to the buyer’s need.

  4. Step 4: Creative briefs

Give editors a clear direction: the message, footage, pacing, proof, and call to action each concept needs.

  5. Step 5: Test and readout

Choose the question each test should answer, then assess results against the campaign objective and available data.

  6. Step 6: Iterate

Use the evidence to decide what to develop, revise, or stop—and carry the learning into the next batch.

The aim is to give your team stronger starting ideas, clearer production direction, and useful learning from each round of testing.

Let’s talk about the next creative batch your team needs.
